Sevenonehundred is currently accepting submissions for the 7100 Music Video Fest 2012. The contest is open to all amateur music video making enthusiasts and rock, rap groups and dance crew who are residents of Dipolog or Dapitan Cities.

During the actual contest, the competing Music Video entries are presented to the public during the video fest in between performances of the finalists and the awarding on October 2012.

Cash prizes and trophies will be given to the winners of the following:

Best Direction
Best Editing
Best Cinematography
Best Video with a Message

GENERAL RULES FOR THE SELECTION OF THE 10 FINALISTS

1.The contest is open to all amateur video making enthusiasts and rock, rap groups and dance groups who are residents of Dipolog or Dapitan Cities. Students are encouraged to join.

2. You can use your cellphone camera, dslr camera or digi cam.

3. Maximum number of members per band/group:
Band: 5
Dance Group: 15
Rap Group: 5

4. Along with your sample music video (can be a cover or original composition), send us a short video introducing your band/group (maximum of 3 min.)

5. Entries, should in dvd format and placed in a SEALED long brown envelope. Submit the entry at the Dipolog Design Center Door 2, Net U See Cafe, General Luna St. Dipolog City not later than July 30, 2012.

The envelope should contain the following:

a. Completed 7100 Music Video Fest 2012 entry form
b. 1 DVD containing the sample video and group/band video introduction.

6. You will receive a notification that your group/band is selected as one of the 10 finalists.

7. The production crew and band members are required to attend a one day seminar-workshop on Music Video making.

8. You are given 2 months to complete the music video (using only original music composition).

MECHANICS FOR THE 10 FINALISTS

MECHANICS

1. Only original music composition or song can be featured in the music video. The song can be written or composed by any band member, songwriter, rapper and can be in English, Cebuano or Filipino.

2. 7100 Music Video Fest only accepts entries of original music videos that are never entered into any local and/or foreign music video competitions.

3. No use of explicit or offensive images, foul language or anything that damages any individual, institution or company.

4. All music video productions must comprise of only original images (still or moving) as captured in the video footages. These images or footages should have not been used in any previous music videos. The creators likewise ensure that the overall content and imagery used in the Music Videos are fit for general audiences.

5.The final DVD copy and all other requirements of the music video production should be submitted not later than October 1, 2012 at the Dipolog Design Center Door 2, Net U See Cafe, General Luna St. Dipolog City.

6. All recorded and competing music video outputs must have a running or playback time of at most 6 minutes.

7. During the actual contest, the competing Music Video entries are presented to the public during the video fest in between performances of the finalists and awarding.

B. CRITERIA FOR JUDGING
All entries are to be judged according to the following official criteria for evaluation:
• Artistic touch and creativity: 35%
- This refers to videos showing skill or excellence in execution. The video should be           ingenious, exhibiting good taste; performed, made, or edited artistically; aesthetically           pleasing.
• Message delivery: 35%
- The message of the video should be communicated clearly.
• Uniqueness: 30%
